The Director Nathaniel Denny has 27 years experience working in the industry and now mainly specialises in boiler service, repairs and landlords gas safety reports?

Nathaniel had previously worked with British Gas back in the early years, mainly carrying out servicing for local housing associations . And has run Previous private companies in the industry carrying out boiler installations, boiler repairs, gas safety report and heating surveys.

After after working directly with T Brown as a quality control inspector carrying out audits across Southeast and Southwest London, after the 2008 economical crash. Nathaniel formed Heat Firm Ltd In 2012 And started a new Working privately and also contracting with British gas for several years through Heat Firm Ltd.  Again working in and around London. Southeast and Southwest Greater London.

During this time Heat Firm Ltd was a Green deal installer, Stroma certified and would install new boilers for low income families through the warm front scheme, Heat firm td also offered state of the art boiler cover care through it’s online portal allowing customers to have there own accounts, pay a subscription, which covered Annual boiler servicing, boiler repairs and some parts, and for Landlords Gas safety reports. As a  heat firm was not a tech company this online facility along with the subscription contracts was too much to manage; so the Boiler cover care service plans where shelved.

In 2018 Heat Firm Ltd relocated to Bournemouth, servicing the Dorset region and specialising in boiler servicing repairs and gas safety reports. It this point the website was revamped, offering customer as similar online Booking experience, where customers can see available time slots, book and pay to confirm their appoints with out a portal. Heat firm ltd Now currently contract with Boxt ltd, carrying out Google nest smart stat repairs, installs, Bsw heating ltd working with social housing authorities, completing Landlords Gas safety reports, Heating and Boiler repairs.

Is There Still Free Boiler or Heating Help in 2025?

(The Warm Front scheme ended over 12 years ago – here’s what’s actually available today)

The old Warm Front programme that used to pay for new boilers and heating upgrades stopped accepting new applications in January 2013 and is now long gone.

Fortunately, the government and energy companies still run several live schemes in 2025 that can help Dorset homeowners and landlords get free or heavily subsidised boiler replacements and energy-efficiency upgrades. Here’s the up-to-date picture:

1. Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) – runs until March 2026

This is the closest thing today to the old Warm Front scheme.

Large energy suppliers (British Gas, E.ON, Octopus, EDF, Scottish Power, etc.) are legally required to fund energy-saving improvements – including brand-new A-rated gas boilers – for low-income and vulnerable households.

You’re usually eligible if:

• You (or someone in the home) receive benefits such as Pension Credit, Universal Credit, Child Tax Credit, Income Support, Housing Benefit, etc.
• Your home has an EPC rating of D, E, F or G
• You own the property or are a private tenant (with landlord permission)

There is no cost to you for an approved installation.

2. Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) – England & Wales

This is a £7,500 cash grant (sometimes more) towards replacing an old gas, oil or LPG boiler with a low-carbon system:

• Air-source heat pump – £7,500 grant
• Ground-source heat pump – £7,500 grant
• Biomass boiler – £5,000 grant (rarely used in urban Dorset)

The grant is paid directly to the MCS-certified installer (we are fully accredited), so you only pay the difference.

Ideal for off-gas-grid properties in the New Forest, Ringwood or rural Verwood.

3. Warm Homes: Local Grant (new in 2025)

A brand-new England-only scheme delivered through local councils.

It provides 100% funded energy upgrades and low-carbon heating for low-income households that fall into certain council priority groups.

Availability varies by local authority (BCP Council and Dorset Council both have funding pots in 2025).
